The Ole Cowboy Hisself The Lone Star State

Welcome to The Ole Cowboy's Website!

Hey, y'all! This here's The Ole Cowboy, and I'm hankerin' to help you get your online presence up and runnin'. I'm not one of those fancy website designers - just a plain old cowboy who figured out how to build websites - plain and simple (although I can also handle ecommerce shopping carts - just takes a mite longer)! I'm not a big office with lots of graphic designers and programming gurus - everything I know is self-taught, and I read tutorials every day to get more workin' knowledge. If'n you need a logo or header designed, I work with a friend of mine who knows how to do that sorta thing - his link is just below. By the way, Darrell (Rendered Visions) did my logo and my picture - dang good likeness of me, too! He's also responsible for the Shannon Weston Gifts header, which you'll find in my portfolio - great guy to know! While he's workin' on your logo/header, you and I start talkin' about what you want your website to say to people, and what you hope to accomplish - in short, we start workin' on the site design process (look down yonder)!

By the way, the animated Texas flag in the header is courtesy our friends at ABFlags.com

The Design Process

STEP 1: Discuss and decide the purpose of your site
It's real important that you know what you want the site to accomplish and who your target audience is supposed to be. Knowing what you want to accomplish with the site helps you and me decide how well the finished site is performing and whether or not it needs to be expanded. Knowing exactly who you want to target and attract to your site helps you and me decide what form and appearance your site site should take. For example, you sure don't want to publish a site based on fruits when you're trying to talk about your horse stables!
